Large-scale commercial siding project in South Lake Union that features Corten steel and Parklex panels.
The builder had a unique design idea that included Corten Steel. We were happy to accommodate such an idea.
As with all commercial projects, this project was completed per construction documents, on time and on budget.
This was one of the largest projects Modern-Siding has undertaken.
Along with the regular building process (review of plans and specifications, estimate, contract review, pre-con meeting, scheduling, building process, follow-up, close-out, and change order work) there were sub-contractor and waterproofing counsel meetings held weekly.
The entire process took 8 months due to the shifting schedule and delays.
We constantly adjusted to a varying schedule of the builder. In addition, many changes were made concerning the design and siding material. Modern Siding promptly addressed these issues.
Siding Materials Used:
- Hardie panels on rain screen.
- Parklex panels.
- IPE wall decking.
- ¼” furring.
- Corten steel.
Follow Up with Client
As always, there was a follow up on the finished siding and close-out. To be absolutely sure, the project was checked 3 times.
The client was pleased with the finished product.
